Tube cleaning describes the activity of, or device for, the cleaning and maintenance of fouled tubes. The power generation industry relies on heat exchangers for maximum heat transfer to achieve optimal efficiency. The need for cleaning arises because the medium that is transported through the tubes may cause deposit and finally even obstruction. To accomplish this, routine maintenance and cleaning of condenser tubing is required.
